One cool thing about Hi-res is that Leo Laporte used to do Atari 800 game reviews in the magazine.

Another very good podcast, as usual!! Keep up the good fun work!
In a past podcast the topic turned to the 830 acoustic modem. You all seemed to forget about the 835 direct connect modem that replaced the 830.
Thanks for the explanation about the sound quality. I understand your difficulties. But the sound is not that bad anymore.
I'm sorry that none of you got to see SideSide Magazine back in the day. The same thing over at Player/Missile, he missed it too. This mag was my main place to learn about my 800 until Antic & Analog came out. Later Softside only got better. The type-ins and later disk software was top quality. They were well documented so you could really learn what was going on in the code. Instruction and review articles where very well done too. Also, this is the one major magazine not on the atarimagazines.com site. I have a zip file of all issues scanned, all software ready to run, and many other extras that came with a SoftSide subscription.
Sorry this is getting long.
I think it is Kevin that does all to uploading to Archives.org? Could you also upload to AtariMainia? Archives.org is a bitch to F_#^&ing navigate in!! AtariMania is much easier to use.
The interviews with Best, B&C, AtariSales were great! I pick my Atari stuff direct from Brad's office when I buy from him. I work a few blocks away. The interview reflects just the way he is. When all these guys want to retire, it would great if one group of us were to buy out all 3, put all the stock in one place, do a thorough inventory, and build a good website to sell it.
Take care guys!
